Prayer in the style of Taize returns to Grace Lutheran Church (1273 Fort St.) on Friday, March 19 at 6:00. This ecumenical form of prayer provides a place for all to be welcomed and to come together in prayer, music and silence.
Singing is one of the most essential elements of worship and Taize has generated a unique style of distinctive and much-repeated short prayer chants, taken from the psalms or scripture. The using of a few words to express a basic reality of faith gives a meditative character to the service. This meditative singing thus becomes a way of listening to God.
Please join us as the Christian churches in downtown Victoria continue their 14th year of praying together as we draw hope of finding unity within ourselves and the world.

That’s the conclusion of Dr. Barry Nierenberg, Ph.D., ABPP, associate professor of psychology at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who has been studying the relationship between faith and health.
On December 6th 2009, the Bishop appointed the Reverend Francis Lynford Smith as our temporary Priest-in-Charge.
