HARO GENERAL MEETING – The Bishop has asked all Haro parish representatives to attend a
meeting at St. Andrew’s, Sidney from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on May 24th. The Rev. Dr. Gary Nicolosi will lead us in a
discussion on new models of Ministry.
Wardens, Treasurers, Synod Delegates, and Youth Synod Delegates are
encouraged to attend. Up to 4 other
parish representatives are welcome.

JOHN MORAN’S RETIREMENT – The Bishop has announced the retirement of John,
our Financial Officer effective at the end of June after 20 years of service to
the Diocese. Bishop James writes:
It is my hope that the Diocese would put together a
cash purse to present to Canon Moran at the banquet honouring him at Synod on
Friday, June 6th. If your
parish or any of your congregation wish to contribute to this cash purse,
please send your contribution to either Imelda Secker or Judith Coleman,
Diocese of British Columbia, 900 Vancouver Street, Victoria, B.C. V8V 3V7.
It is also my hope that this will come as a surprise to John and so I
ask that this request be kept confidential from him.

PWRDF AID FOR MYANMAR – In light of the severe devastation from
the recent cyclone, donations are needed for emergency relief. Those wishing to do so may make their
cheques payable to St. Stephen’s Church indicating on the envelope that it is
for Myanmar Relief. These donations
